University of Sydney – Telehealth & Student Pods
About the Project
The project comprised of three main areas across the University’s Cumberland Campus. The focus was on the upgrade and expansion of audio visual services for the purposes of education and patient treatment within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Works included upgrades to the main Seminar Rooms, Telehealth Clinic and Student Pods.
The Telehealth Clinic works involved a significant upgrade to monitoring equipment within the Communication Disorders Treatment & Research Clinic (CDTRC) to increase treatment capacity and efficiency for one of the largest speech pathology clinics in the world. The integration of an entirely new and specialised monitoring system was completed whilst the CDTRC remained operational catering for over 200 clients per week in the 14 dedicated monitoring rooms. The Graphite Team worked closely with Telehealth Clinicians to schedule project works and minimise disruption.
The project also included the Cumberland Campus’ first Student Pod learning environment. A highly detailed and efficient architectural design has converted a difficult space into a vibrant and collaborative environment that has enhanced the students learning experience.
